KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City native Tech N9ne and his hometown draft company Boulevard Brewing have announced a collaboration on a new brew, which is inspired by his song “Caribou Lou.” The Bou Lou beer is scheduled to debut on June 15 at Boulevardia, an annual Kansas City street festival in the Stockyards District. The drink is an unfiltered wheat beer with coconut and pineapple flavoring. If the beer sells well, Boulevard might consider a wider release, according to its president Jeff Krum.

Strange Music CEO/president Travis O’Guin fully agrees.

“Being from Kansas City, the Boulevard Brewing name has always been held in high regard,” O’Guin added. “We both strive to create products that place us in the upper echelon of our respective industries, so to be able to collaborate with the Boulevard team on such a unique project is an honor.”

The two companies are also collaborating on Bou Lou’s packaging and promotion. The beer comes in a large black can decorated with the Strange Music logo.

Starting on June 18, Bou Lou will be available for purchase in four-packs of 16-ounce cans at select locations in Kansas City, Wichita, Lawrence, Springfield and Denver.
